This book may change your life

I’m telling you this because it has certainly changed my life. I bought this cookbook in December 2018 and have made over 20 recipes from it in the last 3 months. This book has taught me how to re-balance my hormones through nourishing foods and healthful herbs and spices. It has beautiful images but even better, it breaks down how you can begin to address your health through food in a straight-forward and digestible way. Magdalena thoughtfully touches on conditions like PCOS, hypothyroidism and menopause, all the while explaining what one must do to heal those conditions in a holistic, nutritionally-driven way.

I must add that the recipes are deliciousss. Seriously. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I taste the dish I just made because it’s actually yummy and I didn’t just waste 2 hours in the kitchen just to eat garbage. Some of my favorites include: Coconut Kefir Chia Seed Pudding, Farmer’s Breakfast and Chicken Curry.

I can’t stress enough how thankful I am to have found this book. It has opened my eyes to a new way of living and eating and I am so grateful for it. I’m not going to lie, it required a MAJOR kitchen overhaul (which required time, patience and $$$) as she cooks with things that I had never even heard of: cassava flour, teff grain, coconut nectar, psyllium husk… It’s fair to say that I was introduced to a whole new world. But now that I have these items, I only need to replace them as I use them which costs considerably less. I feel better than I have in a long time and I credit this cookbook for helping me kick-start my new way of life!
